WebJul 30, 2004 · Lightly apply the parking brake. Drive 100 ft, then release it. If this prevents the problem, you have "grabby" rear brake shoes. My 97 does this. One of these days I will install some better shoes than what were on this truck when I got it. My truck does this particularly badly when the brakes are moist or humid. Steve.
