So my second theory is that the ballast as well as any issue with the rear reverse lamp is the root of my problems. Thanks for your time! I'll post more updates as I discover more. The dealership urged me to pay $150 for a diagnostic fee to identify the problem. Thankfully before purchasing anything I read this forum! I checked out the #15 and 16 fuses and sure enough the #16 was melted.
