Sold under the brand name Cologuard ® in the U.S., this test looks for blood and certain DNA mutations (changes) in genes that may signify cancerous or precancerous cells. Cologuard, the only test currently available in the US, tests for both DNA changes and blood in the stool (FIT). This test should be done every 3 years and can be done in the privacy of your own home. It tests a full stool sample.
